Thomas O'Leary, Ph.D, HCLD

Dr. O’Leary began his embryology career in the New England area where he worked at some of the nation’s top institutions, including Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School and Women and Infant’s Hospital of Brown University. During this time, he worked closely with and learned from some of the leading clinical embryologists in the field. With over 10 years of experience working with human embryos, Dr. O’Leary has mastered all aspects of assisted reproduction technology and understands the exacting standards needed to optimize human embryo development in vitro.

Dr. O’Leary did his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and has a Master’s Degree in Clinical Embryology and Andrology from the world renowned Jones Institute for Reproductive Medicine in Norfolk, VA. He has since received a Ph.D from Ghent University in Belgium where he worked with one of the largest European IVF centers to study the developmental competence of human embryos. He has an active interest in advancing IVF technology through research projects and has written numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles. Dr. O’Leary was recently featured in an article for his work at Ghent University for the discovery of a new stage in the production of embryonic stem cells. He is also a regular presenter at international meetings involving human reproduction and was recently the invited keynote speaker at The Association for Fertility Studies in Brussels and remains an active researcher for international studies of human embryo development.
