Every October we recognize Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We celebrate the survivors, mourn those who’ve lost the battle with this deadly disease and vow to save more lives in the future with new technologies. Here at Coastal Fertility, breast cancer patients have a special place in our hearts because we are able to help them have children after their harsh chemotherapy treatments are over.
In this month’s blog, we celebrate our patient Maureen Apollo who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2010. In fact, her story is so incredible, the Moultrie News has covered it! Our own Dr. John Schnorr was able to freeze Maureen’s eggs prior to chemo to preserve them. What happened next is a miracle! Read the full story by clicking here.
