Brashier Family

Our dreams of becoming parents seemed so far out of reach.  After having many tests and procedures we were told that we may not be able to have biological children.  With having both a female and male factor involved in our infertility we decided to take a break from it all.  We did a lot of research about different options that could possibly work for us but there was still the unknown.  In 2009 we met Dr. Slowey, he was so positive about our situation and gave us “Hope” that we could someday be parents like we had always dreamed of.   After considering the cost involved in the treatment as well as traveling (we live a little over 3 hours from Mount Pleasant) we decided to consult a couple of specialist in our area. We are so glad we did because it really put so much in prospective for us.  We knew right away that our treatment would be under the supervision of Dr. Slowey and staff. Whatever sacrifices we had to make in order for this to happen was fine because we felt more comfortable with Dr. Slowey than any other specialist we had met with. The atmosphere was wonderful.   We didn’t feel like we were a statistic like we felt at other facilities.

In July of 2011 we finally took the next step in making a lifelong dream come true and started our first cycle of IVF with ICSI.  We were extremely blessed as our first cycle was successful.  Christian Lewis Brashier was born on May 9, 2012.  Our dreams finally became reality!  I highly recommend Dr. Slowey and his staff to anyone facing infertility.  In our book they are all God sent and we will forever be grateful.
