Meet Dr. Carrie Riestenberg
Dr. Carrie Riestenberg is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and joined the Coastal Fertility team in the summer of 2022.
Dr. Riestenberg completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara, where she was voted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society by her peers for her excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion and dedication to service. She was also recognized for her research on the effects of subclinical hypothyroidism on in vitro fertilization outcomes, winning the Kaiser Permanente Best Scientific Study, and received the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine Residency Award for Excellence in Obstetrics. This was followed by a three-year fellowship specializing in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the UCLA Medical Center.
Dr. Riestenberg’s research focusing on polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), endometrial receptivity, and preimplantation genetic testing of embryos (PGT-A) has been published in leading journals including Fertility and Sterility and The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Dr. Riestenberg is passionate about patient education and is committed to helping each patient achieve their family growing goals through informed, shared decision making. She lives in Mount Pleasant with her husband, son, and French bulldog. She is a sports fanatic and enjoys hot yoga, running, all beach activities, and spending time with her family (mom, dad and twin brother and sister) and her friends.
